We are currently seeking applications from experienced investigators to be part of a team within Wiltshire Police dedicated to a serious and complex crime investigation. Applications are welcomed from retired detectives and investigators with PIP1 or PIP2 qualifications. Experience of working in a major crime environment is desirable.
Successful applicants will be employed on a 12-month fixed term contract working from Calne Police Station.
The role will require the successful applicant to be proficient in the investigation of serious and complex crime. The successful applicant will be required to perform a range of roles which will include the interviewing of witnesses, suspects, gathering of evidential material, disclosure, and exhibit management.
Successful applicants will be required to assist in the preparation of evidential files for the Crown Prosecution Service, HM Coroner, or other relevant authorities. They must be able to demonstrate excellent time management, meticulous attention to detail in relation to investigations, and in the production of documents and reports.
