Job summary

A global coatings company in Batley is seeking a Multiskilled Engineer to perform technical tasks and assist in maintenance operations. Candidates must have a recognized electrical/mechanical apprenticeship and relevant experience. Responsibilities

• Perform technical tasks under supervision.

Skills

Recognised electrical/mechanical apprenticeship

Five years relevant electrical/mechanical engineering experience

Experience in Preventative Maintenance

Knowledge of PLC/computer controlled equipment

Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems

Confined space trained and certified

IPAF/FLT trained and certified

Knowledge of mechanical fitting, plumbing, welding

Good communications skills

Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements

Good numerical and verbal reasoning

Proactive and enthusiastic attitude

Able to work shift patterns

Multiskilled Engineer

Birstall | Full time | Permanent

As a Multiskilled Engineer you will perform technical tasks, normally under direction and supervision of an engineer or professional team leader.

Qualifications and Skills needed

• Recognised electrical/mechanical apprenticeship
• Five years relevant electrical/mechanical engineering experience
• Experience in Preventative Maintenance, practice and procedures
• Knowledge and operation of PLC/computer controlled equipment
• Knowledge and experience of working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Confined space trained and certified (Training provided by PPG)
• IPAF/FLT trained and certified (Training provided by PPG)
• Knowledge and experience of mechanical fitting, plumbing and pipe work, welding etc
• Good communications skills at all levels
• Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
• Conscientious and reliable
• Good standard of numerical and verbal reasoning
• Proactive and enthusiastic attitude
• Able to work shift Patterns - ( Week 1 Mon-Thurs 06:00-14 Fri 06:00-12:00 and Week 2 Mon - Thurs 13:45-21:45 - Fri 11:45 - 17:45)
