Job description

Wolfson College, University of Oxford, seeks to appoint a multiskilled Maintenance Technician, who will be working as part of our busy Maintenance Team to continue providing a high standard of service in a thriving College environment. This role is full time and permanent.

Responsibilities
  • Internal and external painting and decorating of Wolfson College site and its properties.
  • Day-to-day completion of reactive and planned preventive work.
  • Compliance record keeping.
  • Assisting in a range of duties related to minor works and some larger projects.
  • Participating in the call-out rota.
Qualifications
  • Ability to paint and decorate to a good standard.
  • General maintenance knowledge and experience.
  • Positive communication skills and ability to work in a small, busy team.
  • Previous experience working within a maintenance department in an education setting is an advantage.
Salary & Benefits

The starting salary for a full-time role (42 hours) is £28,578 per annum, which includes a basic salary of £26,848 per annum and the Oxford Weighting of £1,730 per annum. A call‑out allowance (currently £1,651 per annum) is paid in addition. Benefits include an attractive workplace pension scheme, 39 days annual leave inclusive of 8 bank holidays, free meals within allowance, free parking and an opportunity to work in a pleasant natural environment.
