Job summary

A successful manufacturing company near Haywards Heath is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function. You will ensure machinery and equipment run efficiently with minimal downtime. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment, strong mechanical and/or electrical background, and management experience. This full-time position offers a salary between £40,000 to £45,000 per annum.

Qualifications

JOB – Maintenance Manager

LOCATION – Haywards Heath

TERM – Permanent

SALARY – £40,000 to £45,000 per annum

My client is a successful and long-established manufacturing company based near Haywards Heath, seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function across their production facility. This is a key role responsible for ensuring machinery, equipment, and site services run efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.

Attributes for the Maintenance Manager
  • Experience as a Maintenance Manager or Senior Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong mechanical and / or electrical maintenance background
  • Good understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and continuous improvement
  • Ability to fault find on production machinery and automated equipment
  • Experience managing a small maintenance team or contractors
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements
  • Relevant engineering qualification (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or similar)
