Job description
Overview

Maintenance Engineer – Double Day Shifts (No Nights!)

Join a business that doesn’t just fix problems – we prevent them. We’re looking for an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer who wants day shifts, fewer firefighting breakdowns, and a role where their skills are valued and their weeknights are sacred.

We’re seeking a proactive, hands-on engineer who solves problems before they become disasters and keeps our machinery (and team) running smoothly. If this sounds like your kind of gig, keep reading.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading and coordinating maintenance activities with a proactive approach.

  • Maintaining fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems, including logic controllers and schematics.

  • Owning preventive maintenance to spot issues early and minimise downtime.

  • Providing fast, effective support when issues arise.

  • Working closely with a team to create smart maintenance plans that stick.

  • Logging all activities to keep things compliant and traceable.

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in a maintenance engineering role with strong electrical skills (PLC knowledge is a plus).

  • Clear communicator with good English (written and spoken).

  • Logical thinker who remains composed under pressure.

  • Welding skills are a bonus; if not, that’s fine.

  • Pride in delivering high standards and keeping operations running smoothly.

  • You’ll be working double day shifts (mornings and afternoons) – no nights.

If you’re ready to join a team where you can make a real impact, we want to hear from you. This is more than just a maintenance role—it's your next big move.

Call: 07810 022392 / 01636 611320 (calls after 5pm preferred). You can also WhatsApp and I’ll call you back.
