POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responding to emergency calls, diagnosing faults, and carrying out necessary repairs to fix equipment breakdowns.
  • Ensure that reactive tasks across the site are completed and be proactive in identifying root causes and highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
  • Installing new equipment and machinery.
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in equipment.
  • Conducting quality inspections after repairs and ensuring that all work meets standards.
  • Ensure that work is correctly controlled through Engineering procedures, i.e. LOTOTO and the Permit System.
  • Performing routine maintenance and inspections on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure that all critical equipment operational issues are brought to the attention of Engineering management immediately.
  • Investigate and record faults in electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical on all equipment
  • Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities, costs, and repairs.
  • Use of electrical power tools as necessary to complete tasks
  • Maintenance of administration records, in accordance with machine repair and servicing history
  • Comply with all current work instructions within the organisation.
  • Comply fully with all current health, safety & environmental regulations in operation within the company whilst carrying out your duties.
  • Carry out any reasonable task which falls within your capabilities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERTISE
  • Interpretation of Engineering Drawings
  • Knowledge and experience of automation and control technologies and systems, including Vision Systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of Moulding machines
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proficiency in performing diagnostic tests.
REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
  • Electrical and mechanical engineering experience within a manufacturing environment and will have completed an advanced apprenticeship in engineering or relevant qualification.
  • Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering or relevant qualification.
  • Engineering experience.
  • Assembly and Moulding equipment experience desired.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
  • IEE 17th or 18th Edition desired.
  • Air and pneumatics training is desired.
  • Knowledge of HSE processes and standards.
