Questech Recruitment are recruiting for a Maintenane Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical Bias) on behalf of one of our clients who are a well-established and forward-thinking organisation within the manufacturing sector.

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about ensuring machinery and production lines run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on a range of machinery.
  • Diagnose faults, identify solutions, and minimise downtime across production.
  • Support continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to prioritise maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts usage.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills (multiskilled preferred).
  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, or robotics (advantageous but not essential).
  • A proactive mindset with excellent problem‑solving abilities.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, HNC, City & Guilds or equivalent).
