Qualifications

  • Ideally minimum NVQ Level 4 or HNC in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform electrical fault finding.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain plant, equipment, and utilities across the site.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Complete routine PPM work and document tasks accurately.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Utilise CMMS (SAP) for maintenance activities.

Overview

(Electrical or Mechanical bias) – Telford, £46,000 per year. Shift pattern: Week 1: Sun 23:00 – 06:00, Mon – Thu 22:00 – 06:00. Week 2: Mon – Thu 14:00 – 22:00, Fri 13:00 – 20:00. Week 3: Mon – Thu 06:00 – 14:00, Fri 06:00 – 13:00.

Job Purpose: Due to plant expansion and year-on-year growth, a highly respected and well-known brand in Telford are seeking experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to ensure machinery downtime remains minimal and proactively improve efficiencies across site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain plant, equipment, and utilities across the site
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Complete routine PPM work and document tasks accurately
  • Respond to reactive maintenance tasks efficiently
  • Utilise CMMS (SAP) for maintenance activities
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping (5S methodology)
  • Promote and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical support during production breakdowns
  • Keep up to date with plant processes and technical advancements
  • Assist shift supervision teams with guidance and technical expertise
Skills & Experience
  • Apprentice trained and/or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering (ideally minimum NVQ Level 4 or HNC or above)
  • Industrial/manufacturing experience
  • Electrical fault finding skills
