Maintenance Engineer

Location: Wiveliscombe (near Wellington, Taunton, Tiverton) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (regular overtime available) Transport: Own transport required due to rural location Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + Overtime + Benefits

About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our well-established manufacturing team in the Southwest. This is a hands‑on role for someone who thrives on problem‑solving, enjoys working with machinery and takes pride in keeping a busy workshop running at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery
  • Diagnose faults, replace parts and ensure equipment runs efficiently
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Support installations, refurbishments and upgrades of machinery and control panels
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate with production teams to improve reliability
