Shift Maintenance Engineer
Location: Crick
£55,000 per year + Overtime
Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts
What You'll Do
- Perform planned and predictive maintenance, as well as ad hoc repairs, prioritising work to ensure production continuity.
- Manage critical spares and stock levels, escalating issues to the Engineering Manager.
- Conduct maintenance and servicing safely, championing a zero-harm culture.
- Use root cause analysis to prevent repeat breakdowns and improve operational reliability.
- Support the energy reduction and sustainability agenda, helping reduce environmental impact.
- Participate in daily and weekly review sessions, sharing knowledge and driving improvements.
- Undertake and provide training and guidance for colleagues, acting as a buddy to new team members.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- Membership of a recognised professional body (IET, IMechE, ICT, or similar) preferred.
- NEBOSH-qualified with a strong understanding of behavioural safety at a site level.
- Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing and Best Practice Maintenance.
- Awareness of Legionella and HACCP compliance.
- Experienced in CMMS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of Reliability Management techniques (FMECA, RCM, Tribology, CBM, TPM, etc.).
- Multi-skilled with a preference for electrical bias, but training can be provided.
