Overview
We are looking for x2 Maintenance Engineer's to join our busy and growing organisation. The Maintenance Engineer will respond to machine breakdowns whilst diagnosing faults, repairing equipment and assisting with the implementation of continuous improvement projects. This is a shift-based role rotating 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm, but flexibility to other work shift patterns when the business needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver daily OEE requirements via machine uptime activity.
- Ensure all planned work requests are reacted to quickly and effectively to resolve production issues.
- Conduct planned/predictive maintenance work as required.
- Ensure the spare parts are available to deliver fast effective repairs.
- Identify and control critical spares usage.
- Acknowledge customer work requests and report progress.
- Always operate in line with safe working practices.
- Communication of priorities between shifts.
- Ensure all incomplete work request are followed up and completed on time to improve. customer satisfaction.
- Record machine history data on the CMMS.
- Undertake training as required to carry out the job function.
- Delivery clear shift hand over information to incoming shift.
Qualifications
- Essential: Previous experience in a planned maintenance capacity.
- Competent electrical to fault finding ability.
- PLC knowledge
- Previous experience in a maintenance capacity in a fast[1]moving manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of maintenance processes such as rolling machines, auto welders welding, paint plant, press tooling and facilities is preferred but not essential.
- Proven evidence of a hands-on approach in previous roles.
- Experience within continuous improvement environment.
- Ability to analyse and report data effectively.
- Proven ability of meeting and exceeding internal and external stakeholder requirements.
- Ability to adapt and respond to change.
- Able to demonstrate ability to achieve objectives and exceed expectations.
- Process experience.
- Confident PC user, experience with CMMS.
- Punctual, reliable and flexible.
- Desirable:
- Engineering Qualifications NVQ or BTEC
- Experience with Press tooling.
- Ability to operate workshop machinery {lathes, milling machine, pedestal drill, Surface grinder
