Qualifications

  • Time-served engineer with advanced apprenticeship or equivalent in engineering.
  • Proven maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience on injection moulding systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Rapidly respond to breakdowns and repairs on automated production lines.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and improvements.
  • Install and commission new equipment.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

West Drayton

Pitman Day Shifts (Only 7 shifts in every 14 days - fantastic work-life balance)

We are a leading multi-site contract manufacturer supplying to some of the UK's most recognisable FMCG, healthcare and consumer brands.

Due to continued growth and investment, we are now recruiting experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join our engineering team on our modern West Drayton site.

Responsibilities
  • Rapid response to breakdowns, fault‑finding and repair on fast‑moving automated production, injection moulding and assembly lines
  • Planned preventative maintenance and continuous improvement activities
  • Installation & commissioning of new equipment
  • Root‑cause analysis and proactive elimination of recurring faults
  • Working safely with LOTOTO, permits and all H&S procedures
  • Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC‑controlled systems
Experience / Qualifications
  • Time‑served engineer with completed Advanced Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven multi‑skilled maintenance experience gained in a fast‑paced manufacturing/FMCG environment
  • Strong fault‑finding skills on automated machinery (injection moulding experience highly advantageous)
  • Ability to read mechanical & electrical drawings
  • Knowledge of vision systems, pneumatics, inverters, sensors and control systems
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations desirable
  • Happy to work continental days and be part of an on‑call rota (generous additional payment)
