Overview

Location: Morton/Gainsborough, UK

Shift Pattern: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Days Off (7am-7pm / 7pm-7am)

Salary: Up to £50,000

This well-established manufacturing site in Gainsborough operates across five integrated production plants and employs around 110 people. The facility produces a range of food-related products and runs 24/7 at high capacity, producing up to 360 tonnes of product per day.

The site has seen continued investment and development, growing into a high-capacity, round-the-clock manufacturing hub.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias to support maintenance operations within a fast-paced food production environment. You’ll be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, working to maximise plant uptime and ensure equipment runs reliably and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical faults with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Communicate effectively with production staff to gain insight into equipment issues and accelerate fault diagnosis.
  • Adhere to site hygiene, health, and safety procedures at all times.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to optimise equipment reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and departments across the site.
Requirements
  • Apprentice trained in Electrical or Multi-skilled Engineering
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills, including PLC fault finding (Siemens or Allen Bradley desirable)
  • Background in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Good understanding of mechanical systems such as motors, conveyors, and pumps
  • Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
  • Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
