Job summary

A national fitness equipment company is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to maintain cardio-vascular and strength equipment across the Southwest of England. Responsibilities include servicing and installations, with a focus on customer engagement. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of mechanical or electrical repair principles and hold a valid ECS or CSCS Card. Flexible remote work is required.

  • Knowledge of gym equipment is desirable but not essential.
  • Hold a valid ECS or CSCS Card.
  • Full clean UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installations and carry out servicing in new sites.
  • Carry out routine maintenance, testing and recording of issues.
  • Liaise with customers when on-site.

Job description

A rapidly expanding national fitness equipment company is looking for an experienced Engineer to service and maintain cardio-vascular and strength equipment for an ever-growing portfolio of state of the art gyms and boutique fitness studios in the Southwest of England and across the Midlands.

As the Service Engineer your key responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing, maintenance and basic repair of all lines of cardio-vascular and strength equipment.
  • Assist with installations and carry out servicing in new and old sites as required.
  • Carry out routine maintenance, testing and recording of issues.
  • Liaise with customers when on-site in a professional manner.

The Service Engineer will have the following skills and attributes:

  • A good understanding of mechanical and/or electrical repair principals is essential.
  • Knowledge of gym equipment is desirable but not essential as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
  • Confident communicator with a strong customer-focus.
  • Ability to problem-solve, work alone and unsupervised in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hold a valid ECS or CSCS Card.
  • Electrical qualification with experience in testing would be a distinct advantage.
  • Full clean UK driving licence is essential.

You will have a flexible approach to work and willing to work remotely, Monday to Friday, from various locations within the Southwest of England and across the Midlands.

Appointment will be subject to right to work checks and satisfactory references.
