Overview

Maintenance Engineer - Belper, Derbyshire

Recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer. We’re working with a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturer based in Belper to recruit a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team in a fast-paced production environment, where innovation and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do.

This role will be an initial contract until January 2026, at which point this will be reviewed.

Responsibilities
  • Providing engineering support across a wide range of machinery, including automated presses and robotic arms.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance in line with the site schedule.
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults quickly to minimise production downtime.
  • Accurately recording maintenance activities for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Contributing to improvement projects and solving complex engineering challenges.

Working a 2 week rotating shift pattern. 1 week earlies and 1 week afternoons.

What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and robotics is desirable.
  • Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
