A large scale manufacturer in the UK is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a permanent position. The ideal candidate should have experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment, with mechanical and electrical skills preferred.   • Hours: Panama Shift (Days Only – 12 hrs): 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off
  • Overtime: x1.5 Mon‑Sat and x2 on Sundays
  • Holidays: 22 shifts
Overview

Working for a large scale manufacturer, we now require a site‑based Maintenance Engineer to join the team. Both mechanical and electrical engineers considered.

Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer role
  • Maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.
  • Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns.
  • Perform PPMs.
Ideal candidate / Maintenance Engineer
  • Time served apprentice trained or above.
  • Previous experience working in a maintenance focused role within a manufacturing/production environment or similar.
  • Electrical understanding of changing like‑for‑like parts and basic fault finding would be beneficial if you do not have electrical certifications (Electrical training can be given – the company provides electrical courses offsite).
  • Commutable from Alsager, Sandbach, Crewe, Nantwich, Congleton, Stoke‑on‑Trent and surrounding areas.
