Job description

Due to an increase in demand, we are introducing a new shift at our Pasquill site in Redhill. We are therefore recruiting for several new operatives to join the team.

We are building a talent pool for upcoming opportunities, with first stage interviews planned for mid-January. If you're interested in joining Pasquill, we'd love to hear from you and discuss potential start dates.

We have permanent opportunities planned on the 6am - 2pm shift and 2pm - 10pm shift, with planned start dates in end of February / March. In addition, we will also have potential night shift opportunities available from March.

What we do

Pasquill is the largest supplier of trussed rafters in the UK, with an unrivalled national network of design and manufacturing sites providing nationwide coverage with local knowledge and service. Our portfolio includes a full range of innovative engineered timber solutions including roof trusses, I Joists, Posi-joists™, panelised roof systems, cassette floors, spandrel panels, and Glulam.

As an Operative you will be responsible for
  • Working from drawings to produce large timber engineered products.
  • Organising cut timber efficiently to maintain production needs.
  • Learning to operate different power and hand tools to produce goods.
  • Operating machinery to ensure accuracy in the production of products.
  • Setting, maintaining, troubleshooting and operating equipment in line with COSHH regulations.
  • Accurately recording production information.

We provide full training, so previous experience is not necessary. What matters most to us is the right attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

  • Permanent roles on; 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm shifts (Monday-Friday), with potential start dates from February / March.
  • Permanent roles on 10pm-6am (Monday-Friday), with potential start dates from March.
  • Starting salary of £27,664, with two further stages of wage progression up to £29,952 to recognise your continued growth and performance (day shifts)
  • Proven career progression : many of our operational leaders started as Operatives and have progressed into roles such as Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Production Manager and beyond.
