A leading FMCG company in Port Sunlight is looking for a highly motivated Line Operator. This temporary position offers a pay rate of £20.28 per hour, transitioning to £22.53 upon completion of training. The role involves checking quality, analyzing production processes, and adhering to safety standards. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a leading global FMCG company with brands such as Persil, Surf, Comfort, Domestos & Tressemme, are currently looking for Line Operator to work in their prestigious facility in Port Sunlight. This is a Temporary position, with an immediate start. The pay rate will be £20.28 an hour on basis of 37.5 hours per week, rising to £22.53 an hour as a Machine Operator following successful completion of the training journey.
Applicants must be available to work shifts that may fall Monday to Sunday following a 5-crew shift pattern:
2 x 12-hour days than 2 x 12-hour nights then up to 6 days off
2 x 12-hr days then 2 12-hour nights then up to 4 off (July-September)
Bank holidays and annual leave are built into the shift pattern which includes an 18 day paid break is built into the shift pattern
During the "off" periods there are requirements to be "on call" if absence cover is required. These are limited during the year depending on shift pattern
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with the desire to practice and improve their technical skills and knowledge, and who possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Reporting to the Run to Standards Leader, the successful applicant will have a pro‑active approach to problem solving and fault finding on a high‑speed production line to improve operational efficiency and drive area performance. With a positive attitude to change, they will be able to analyse technical/mechanical problems in the area, research, suggest, communicate, and implement improvement ideas.
The ideal candidate will have an appreciation for the importance of maintaining high quality and hygiene standards and will ensure that they comply with safety standards and adhere to site regulations.
They will be a relationship builder, with the ability to communicate their opinions both verbally and in writing to colleagues and managers alike. They will work effectively within the team to achieve and exceed both factory and team targets set within the business.
