Job summary

A leading food manufacturing company is looking for a Machine Operative to join their new Beetroot Production factory in Lichfield. In this role, you will operate and maintain retort cooking machinery, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Responsibilities include identifying mechanical faults, performing asset care, and training other operatives. Work hours are 4 days on followed by 4 days off, with a competitive pay of £13.73 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a machine operative in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of retort cooking processes is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

Machine Operative - Food Manufacturing

We have an opportunity for Machine Operators to join us in our new Beetroot Production factory on our Retort Cookers at Florette in Lichfield, WS13 8NF.

As a Machine Operative - Food Manufacturing, you will be a technical specialist on plant and process within the cooking process of the production stage, using retorts. In this ambient environment, you will set up and run machinery, plant and equipment ensuring all food safety and hygiene procedures are maintained. The successful Machine Operator will perform rudimental asset care and remedial work on equipment as well as train operatives and ensure quality at all stages, whilst participating in systemic and process improvement within a CI framework.

Working hours: 4 days on, 4 days off. 7am to 7pm

Pay: £13.73 per hour
