Overview

The Precision Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting mechanical components and products according to engineering specifications and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions. The Mechanical Assembler works closely with production and quality assurance teams to ensure the highest standards of manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical components and systems according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete assembly tasks.
  • Inspect and test assembled components to ensure functionality and compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify and report defects, deviations, or issues in the assembly process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient production.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry regulations.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly processes and efficiency.
  • Document assembly procedures and maintain accurate production records.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical assembly or related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Shift and Compensation

Shift: (3-4) Machine Assembly Technicians - 2nd shift. M-TH 3:30 pm–2:00 am (4 nights/10 hours per night). Will start on 1st shift for training, then move to 2nd shift.

Compensation: $28-30/hr.
