Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Special Needs Education

About the Role

We are looking for dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our experienced team supporting children and young people aged 3 to 19 with severe and complex learning difficulties. This is a full-time, term-time position with working hours from 8:50am to 3:40pm (one day finishing at 4:10pm).

  • Supporting the education and development of children with special needs
  • Assisting with classroom activities and individual learning plans
  • Helping manage challenging behaviour with patience and understanding
  • Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Participating in training and professional development programs
What We’re Looking For
  • A team player who is patient, tolerant, and empathetic
  • Someone who enjoys working with children with severe and complex needs
  • Experience or willingness to work with children who may display challenging behaviours
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
  • Availability for interviews as soon as possible
Hours & Pay
  • 30.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year)
  • Monday to Friday, 8:50am – 3:40pm (one day finishing at 4:10pm)
  • Salary: Scale 2 point 3 to Scale 4 point 7

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
