Job description

Ark Workpace Risk is seeking a Lowcode Platform Engineer to join our IT department and assist with the management, development, and enhancement of our application suite built on top of the QuickBase platform, delivering projects to ensure it fully supports our operational workflows and business objectives. You'll be instrumental in evolving Ark's digital solutions, driving innovation in our risk and compliance operations, and ensuring our technology ecosystem supports our rapid business growth. You'll have autonomy to shape processes, influence technical decisions, and work alongside senior leadership in a forward-thinking environment. Reporting directly to the IT Director, you will work closely with key stakeholders to enhance platform performance, lead ongoing developments, and drive process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive engineer to make a meaningful impact within a forward-thinking risk and compliance environment.

Responsibilities
  • Platform Management: ensure the stability, performance, and security of the QuickBase applications used within Ark.
  • Application Development & Enhancements: design, develop, and implement new applications and features based on internal requirements to support our risk and compliance operations.
  • Support & Maintenance: serve as a primary contact for troubleshooting and maintaining QuickBase applications, ensuring minimal operational disruptions.
  • Process Automation: implement workflow automations to streamline processes and improve efficiency across internal teams.
  • Collaboration with IT Leadership: partner with the leadership team to shape QuickBase's roadmap, ensuring alignment with Ark's broader business goals.
  • Lowcode expertise: experience with QuickBase is highly desirable, but we welcome candidates with very strong low-code backgrounds in platforms such as Power Apps, Mendix, or OutSystems, provided they can demonstrate adaptability to QuickBase.
  • A minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience in a low-code application covering the development, administration, and maintenance of business-grade internal applications. Candidates should be prepared to walk us through applications they have developed, explaining their architecture, functionality, and measurable business impact (figures and stats expected).
  • Technical Skills: strong abilities in building applications, process automation, data integration and experience with API integrations.
  • Drive enhancements and innovative solutions within the QuickBase platform to optimise operations.
  • Proactively identify and implement workflow automations to improve efficiency.
  • Project Management: experience managing projects from initiation to deployment.
  • Collaboration: ability to work closely with operations, IT, and senior leadership to meet strategic objectives.
  • Documentation Skills: competence in documenting processes and developing best practices for platform management.
  • We are offering a competitive package subject to qualifications, skills and experience. The role is full-time 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday. This is a remote position; however, you will be required to attend our London office from time to time.
  • Our remuneration package includes:
  • 25 days of annual leave, plus UK bank holidays.
  • Company pension scheme (matched 5% contribution).
  • Up to £800 discounts via Perkpal.
  • Vitality Private Health Insurance, including membership to Vitality.
  • 4× Salary Life Cover.
  • We are committed to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) for everyone. All applicants will be treated fairly and without prejudice. No one will receive less favourable treatment or be discriminated irrespective of the following protected characteristics: Age, disability, gender reassignment (and identity), marriage and civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity, race (including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origins), religion or belief, sex (formerly gender) and sexual orientation.
