A leading health organization in Salford is seeking a qualified PWP or Low Intensity Psychological Worker to deliver trauma-informed therapies to male survivors of sexual harms. This role involves working with clients, managing communications, and collaborating with practitioners to ensure survivors receive appropriate support. Ideal candidates will have a background in mental health and specific qualifications in evidence-based interventions. Were looking for a PWP or Low Intensity Psychological Worker who will support survivors and their loved ones with evidence-based low intensity interventions.
Youll play a key role in supporting clients, managing communications, and assisting with volunteers. You will work closely with our Community Development and Criminal Justice Services Practitioners to ensure survivors have access to proper support. All staff have a Thematic Leadership area to expand the organisations knowledge in areas impacting male survivors and their loved ones.
Youll be a qualified and experienced practitioner working with trauma with a background of mental health and engagement. Were especially keen to hear from people with experience in working with men, sexual harms and their loved ones, but we value transferable skills too. If youre passionate about creating a society where no male survivor is left behind, this could be the role for you.
Deliver trauma-informed therapeutic services.
Accurately record clinical interventions.
Provide a range of information and support for evidence-based, low-intensity psychological interventions whilst working within a flexible and person-centred model of care.
Undertake specific therapeutic projects as directed by the Senior Management Team.
We Are Survivors is a survivor-focused voluntary sector organisation that aims to create and facilitate safe spaces for male (including trans and non-binary individuals) survivors of sexual harms across Greater Manchester, providing access to quality-assured support.
Our work is focused on developing ways for individuals to empower themselves to work through personal and sometimes painful issues, guided and supported by our trauma-informed team, following the trauma and recovery model.

The post-holder will work within the Pathfinder Partnership, across all partner organisations, providing high-quality, evidence-based, low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based interventions using a guided self-help model, to clients who have experienced sexual harms but also have additional mental health needs.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
