Job summary

A specialized logistics firm is seeking a professional to support customer logistics needs in both combat and peacetime situations. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in property accountability and be knowledgeable of logistics principles, especially within the DoD context. This position requires hands-on experience with the GCSS-Army system, a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, and a DoD secret level clearance. Hybrid and flexible work options are available.

Overview

Responsibilities
  • Performs customer support functions, those processes used to support the total requirement of customers to gain logistics support in both combat and peacetime situations.
  • Works with GCSS-Army system for Shelf Life, MS Office, Windows, other similar programs and assists with problems uncovered within the GCSS-Army system.
  • Receives materials, parts, components and major assemblies to support the maintenance program.
  • Performs Materiel and inventory of parts assigned in GCSS-Army. Turn in recoverable parts.
  • Performs PQDRs and SDR on non-conforming parts, that comes in defective or is the wrong parts. Also perform duties as the Department warranty coordinator.
  • Communicates with the item managers to expedite require materials. Tracks long lead parts and ESD. Upgrades and change parts status and priority as needed.
  • Works within a framework of GCSS-A established supply regulations, policies, and procedures, or other governing supply management guidelines.
  • May perform other administrative tasks as determined by the Production Control Supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Requires demonstrated education and experience in DoD Logistics, with knowledge in the following areas:

  • Must have proven experience performing property accountability functions IAW AR 710-2, Supply Policies Below the Level, and AR 735-5, Policies and Procedures for Property
  • GCSS-A hands-on experience
  • Must be knowledgeable of basic supply management principles and Army regulatory requirements
  • Must have applicable training or proven experience with the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) Logistics Information System
  • Support Warehouse Operations, to include Shipping and Receiving Operations
  • Capable of applying principles, methods, experience, skills and expert knowledge to broad, complex and exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical assignments to arrive at automated solutions
Experience & Certifications
  • 2 years of experience as a 92A or 92Y.
  • Experienced in working under Engineering and Systems Integration Directorate (ESI) and Tactical Communications Division.
  • Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-ARMY) Certificate
  • Knowledge of Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW)
  • Knowledge of Logistics Integrated Data Base (LIDB)
  • Knowledge of Integrated Logistic Analyst Program (ILAP)
  • Knowledge of Enhanced Dollar Cost Banding (EDCB)
  • Knowledge of Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS) and FEDLOG
  • Knowledge of ASEIP (Army Enterprise Portal) and DST (Decision Support Tool)
  • Knowledge of SSN-LIN Automated Management & Integrating Systems (SLAMIS)
  • Experience in warehouse and supply operations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, logistics or other relatable degrees
Clearance

DoD secret level clearance.

Education & Experience
  1. 4 -7 years of Property Management experience; related experience (management, asset visibility, and property management).
Location
  1. Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland.
  2. Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Schedule flexing is available with the PM’s approval.
Travel

Required travel.
