Overview

Logistics Co-Ordinator

Location: Larne

We’re looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team. You’ll be responsible for organising hauliers, preparing documentation, and working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure goods are delivered in full and on time.

Responsibilities
  • Assign customer sales to transport, achieving OTIF in the most cost effective and efficient approach.
  • Follow, update, and maintain customer special instructions as necessary.
  • Prepare, send and follow up purchase orders to customers.
  • The calculation and entering of freight costs, maximising trailer fill and competitive pricing
  • Ensure all customer queries are acknowledged and answered promptly.
  • The receipt of dispatch queries from customers and close out any disputes
  • Update and maintain dispatch schedules, liaising with the warehouse team that all information is correct.
  • Monitor all orders despatched on the NAVISION system, that they meet intended dispatch
  • Liaise with Line Manager on daily progress against the shipping schedule.
  • Follow departmental procedures in line with SOP guidelines.
  • Organise returns and assist other departments logistics requirements
  • Covering of other roles within the department when required.
Essential Criteria
  • Previous experience as a Logistics Administrator, Warehouse Administrator or similar role working in a logistical environment
  • Knowledge of logistics software or transport management systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook , specifically excel
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Good communication skills
