Job summary

A growing UK Pharmaceutical company is seeking a Logistics Officer to oversee the transportation and delivery of stock. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess strong Excel skills. Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, supporting customs clearance, and updating in-transit reports. Qualifications

  • Experience in coordinating transportation, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proactive and organized with strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all activities related to collection, transportation, and delivery of stock are completed.
  • Liaise with transporters and coordinate shipment of goods.
  • Support customs clearance and maintain documentation for HMRC inspections.
  • Maintain and update in-transit reports for current shipment statuses.
  • Complete necessary documentation before shipment receipt.

The Role
Logistics Officer
What will you be doing?

Ensure that all day-to-day activities relating to collection, transportation and delivery of stock from suppliers are completed.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Transportation- Liaising with Aspire's approved transporters, selecting the most appropriate option, and coordinating the shipment of goods to the warehouse.
  • Customs Clearance - Supporting the Senior Logistics Officer, where required, with customs clearance requirements and maintaining appropriate traceability of customs declarations for the purpose of HMRC inspections.
  • Release Documentation - Supporting the RP/designate by providing stock and receipt documentation for the purpose of local release to market. Support stock controller when necessary.
  • In-Transit report - Maintain and update the ITR to reflect current shipment statuses, working cross functionally with wider team on urgent shipments.
  • ASNs - Completion of document and sending to warehouse prior to shipment receipt.
The Person
  • This role is ideal for someone with a proactive, can-do attitude who thrives on organisation and clear communication. You'll be passionate about building a career in Operations and bring a solid understanding of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) alongside strong Excel skills. Experience in coordinating transportation, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage, but not essential.
