A leading healthcare provider in Scotland is seeking a Locum Specialty Registrar in Orthopaedics and Trauma for a fixed-term contract lasting 6 months, starting February 2026. Candidates with ST2/ST3 qualifications and full GMC registration are encouraged to apply. The role involves attending ward rounds, supporting clinical decisions, and developing surgical skills in a modern hospital setting. Beneficially, there is a relocation package available. A competitive salary of £1793.03 per week is offered, adaptable for part-time positions.

£1793.03 per week inclusive of out of hours allowance (pro rata for part-time)
Fixed Term Contract available for 6 months duration, commencing February 2026. Full Time or Part Time.

The Borders Railway has train services to central Edinburgh running every thirty minutes (journey time 50 minutes approx) to Tweedbank Station, so the city is in easy reach.
You would gain wide experience in Orthopaedics & Trauma under the supervision of Consultants and Specialty Doctors. You will be attached to one of the Consultants, with opportunity to attend all ward rounds, clinics and theatre sessions with your Consultant. Borders General Hospital is a modern and well-equipped 284 bed DGH serving the rural Borders area in South East Scotland, approximately 36 miles from Edinburgh.
