Overview

Dream Medical is seeking enthusiastic Practice Nurses to join busy GP surgeries. The role requires an experienced Practice Nurse with current NMC registration and a flexible approach to work, including potential early mornings or evening sessions. The successful candidate will work within a team-focused environment that values patient care, professional development, and adherence to safety policies.

Location notes: Doncaster (urgent requirement), Croydon, Oxfordshire, Reading, Oxford, Nottingham. Information for this specific role in Doncaster is provided below; other locations are listed for awareness of opportunities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • To provide high quality patient care
  • Participate in setting standards for care and auditing clinical outcomes
  • Perform the administration and education of all types of immunisations including travel, seasonal vaccinations, and childhood immunisations
  • Provide health education advice around diet, smoking, lifestyle, and sexual health
  • Assist the Clinical Services Manager in maintaining equipment and stock levels relating to patient care
  • Undertake the collection, storage, and despatch of pathological specimens including intravenous blood samples, swabs, smears, etc., and ensure equipment cleanliness
  • Assist with investigatory procedures as requested by other clinicians
  • Support health and safety and infection control policies as defined in applicable policies and procedures
  • Support equality, diversity, and rights of patients, carers, and colleagues
  • Be accountable for professional development and act as a role model to others
