Locum Occupational Therapists Needed

Join our client as a Locum Occupational Therapist and enjoy flexible, rewarding opportunities at a hospital in Wales. We're looking for passionate, HCPC-registered Occupational Therapists with strong clinical skills to join a fast-paced hospital environment and support patient discharge pathways.

Role details

Location: Wales

Rate: £26.00 - £28.00 per hour (Umbrella Equivalent)

Start Date: ASAP

Working Pattern: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week (Monday to Friday)

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive assessments and interventions for patients, many with complex needs, incorporating physical, personal, and psychological aspects to support safe discharge.
• Use strong clinical reasoning and positive risk-taking to support home-first discharges in line with Welsh Government policy.
• Work effectively within a fast-paced and unpredictable environment.
• Communicate sensitively and appropriately with patients, carers, agencies, and other professionals.
• Use IT systems to update clinical information, data collection, and audits.
• Maintain excellent organisational and communication skills throughout.
• Keep knowledge and skills current in line with HCPC requirements, with support for internal and external training opportunities.

Requirements

• HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist (Band 6 or Band 7).
• At least two years' post-graduate experience.
