Overview

Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer – Hybrid Working – up to £50 per hour Umbrella – Midlands

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer to join an excellent Local Authority in the Midlands.

This assignment will be for an initial period of 3 months with a strong likelihood of extension thereafter. The ideal candidate would work full time on a Hybrid working basis with a need for Court attendance 2-3 times a week in the Midlands area and IT equipment to be collected on the first day.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all aspects of legal work relating to Housing Management; housing possessions, rent possession, ASB, injunctions, unlawful occupiers
• Advise on the management of risk on complex and contentious legal issues
• Represent the Council in court and conduct advocacy where appropriate (2-3 times a week)

Requirements / Qualifications

• Prior experience within a Local Authority or Private Practice
• Extensive experience of Housing Litigation within Housing Management
• Based in the Midlands and looking to gain or further Local Authority experience
• Availability for hybrid working with court attendance 2-3 times a week in the Midlands

An attractive hourly rate of up to £50 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position dependent on experience.

This is a great position for those looking to gain experience of working in the Public Sector; previous experience is desirable but not essential.
