A leading healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Locum Consultant in Orthogeriatric Medicine. This role is vital for managing older patients with orthopaedic trauma, ensuring comprehensive assessments from admission through discharge. Qualifications include being a GMC-registered physician and having a passion for frailty care. The position offers a competitive salary between £109,725 and £145,478, and you will work in a collaborative environment focusing on high-quality, patient-centred care.
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Orthogeriatrician to join our dynamic and forward‑thinking team at Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH).
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in the care of older patients with orthopaedic trauma, providing comprehensive geriatric assessment and management from admission through to discharge. You will work closely with colleagues in orthopaedics, anaesthetics, surgery, therapy services, and discharge planning to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
This is a full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term maternity leave consultant post, created to enhance our orthogeriatric services in response to increasing demand and to help us deliver best‑practice care in line with the British Orthopaedic Association Standards for Trauma (BOAST) and the National Hip Fracture Database (NHFD).
