Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency is seeking a Community Nurse for a full-time locum role in Portishead. The position requires NMC registration and relevant competencies, including wound care and holistic assessment. Ideal candidates will possess enhanced DBS certification and up-to-date training. Qualifications

• Up-to-date certifications for the required skills.

• Perform venepuncture and obtain samples.

Overview

Community Nurse – full-time locum role in Portishead. Initially for a minimum of 2 weeks and due to commence as soon as possible.

Key competencies / Responsibilities

• Wound care including pressure ulcers
• Venepuncture
• Obtain samples
• Catheterisation (female would be helpful if also competent in male and suprapubic)
• Bandaging
• Holistic assessment

Additional skills (beneficial)

• Administration of IV's
• Compression bandaging
• Dopplar assessments
• Palliative care

Requirements

• Must be an NMC registered Nurse with up-to-date certificates of competencies for the listed skills.
• Enhanced DBS certificate issued within 1 year with up-to-date Mandatory training in BLS, Safeguarding, First Aid, Information Governance and Infection Control.
