Job description

Local Environment Services delivers a range of services to the communities of Ceredigion. To assist with the delivery of these front-line services, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team.

Responsibilities

• manage a team of Environment Operatives
• deliver the front-line waste collection/street cleaning service
• meet the needs of service users
• work as a team to ensure a clean and healthy local environment

Working hours

• 8:00 – 16:00 Monday-Thursday
• 8:00 – 15:30 Friday

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate would have a full driving licence and experience of managing operational teams and wants to help us to keep Ceredigion clean.

• Transport Services: Corporate transport; Fleet management; Parking Services; Harbours.
• Highways Maintenance: Cyclic and Routine Maintenance; Emergency response; Highways inspection; Winter service.
• Highways Development: Planning liaison; Road safety; Regional transport; Street lighting; Streetworks; Traffic management; CWIC/NMWTRA; Design supervision; Flood and coastal risk management; Highways improvement.
• Local Environment Services: Waste Collections; Household waste sites; Grounds maintenance; Street cleaning.
