About the role:

As a Loans Investment Advisor, you will be the trusted point of contact for internal teams and external customers, guiding them through new funding opportunities and managing existing loan facilities. You will assess risk and deliver clear recommendations on loan proposals and renegotiations, ensuring every decision aligns with company policy and meets statutory compliance.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cross-functional relationships with all Business Partners and deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Complete full risk assessments of loan proposals, including analysis of searches, financial analysis, compliance checks, and review of relevant experience.
  • Serve as a reference point for customers in regards to all loan enquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, internal lending policy & procedures, Group audit, third-party screening procedures and GDPR policy.
  • Support colleagues to ensure processing and review of all Indirect Investment proposals, liaising with sales teams to ensure compliance with the approved workflow.
  • Provide support for internal stakeholders with any ongoing loan applications, renegotiations, accounting issues and general queries.
  • Attend occasional Pricing Board and Sales Teams meetings.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • CICM Qualified or A Level Equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar credit or lending role assessing financial information
  • Organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and plan daily tasks without referral
  • Working knowledge of ERP (SAP) and Office 365 is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced, demanding and results-driven organisation
  • Ability to work as part of a larger team, contributing and delivering joint objectives as well as individual goals
