Overview

As a Lifeguard you'll be an important part of life here at the centre as you ensure that everyone can use the pool in safety and that they have access to everything they need to enjoy their visit. You will be providing customer care to people of all ages, supervising activities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the pool area, and ensuring the safe handling and set up of pool equipment. When needed, you may be called on to help save lives.

Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust. You will work as part of a close knit and supportive team, with training and development opportunities and benefits including free leisure access and other discounts.

Responsibilities
  • Provide customer care to people of all ages and engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Supervise pool activities and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the pool area.
  • Ensure the safe handling and set up of pool equipment.
  • Respond to safety incidents and assist in life-saving situations when required.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with customers of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Safety conscious, vigilant, and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong swimming skills.
  • Hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Royal Life Saving Society).
