Overview
- Early Years Key Worker - Full Time
- Location: Scarborough (Pre-School Setting)
- Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday (with additional wrap-around care shifts on a rota basis)
- Salary: Dependant on qualifications and experience
- Contract: Full-time
What You'll Be Doing
- Act as a Key Worker for a small group of children, observing and recording their progress in line with the EYFS.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support learning and development.
- Promote children's personal, social, emotional, and communication skills.
- Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing are always a top priority.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with parents and carers.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to planning, meetings, and training.
- Support daily routines including meal times, toileting, and outdoor play.
What We're Looking For
- Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education/Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children aged 3-4 in an early years setting
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, nurturing, and patient approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
- Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Experience with SEN or supporting additional needs
- Familiarity with online learning journals (e.g., Tapestry, Famly)
