Overview
  • Early Years Key Worker - Full Time
  • Location: Scarborough (Pre-School Setting)
  • Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday (with additional wrap-around care shifts on a rota basis)
  • Salary: Dependant on qualifications and experience
  • Contract: Full-time
What You'll Be Doing
  • Act as a Key Worker for a small group of children, observing and recording their progress in line with the EYFS.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support learning and development.
  • Promote children's personal, social, emotional, and communication skills.
  • Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing are always a top priority.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with parents and carers.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to planning, meetings, and training.
  • Support daily routines including meal times, toileting, and outdoor play.
What We're Looking For
  • Essential:
  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education/Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children aged 3-4 in an early years setting
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A caring, nurturing, and patient approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
  • Desirable:
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification
  • Experience with SEN or supporting additional needs
  • Familiarity with online learning journals (e.g., Tapestry, Famly)
