Job description

Forest Lodge Academy requires - 2 x Level 2 Teaching Assistants (Fixed Term until 10th July 2026) Salary: NJC Point 7 -12 - £18,240.07 (Actual salary per Annum on NJC Point 7) - 30 Hours per week Hours of work: 8.40 - 3.10 pm with 30 Minutes for Lunch.

We are looking for 2 x excellent Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistants to join our school team who;

  • Has experience of working/supporting pupils with SEND or a desire to do so.
  • GCSE pass level or equivalent qualification in Maths/Numeracy & English or significant demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • Has excellent knowledge of children's early developmental needs.
  • Is a team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills enabling professional dialogues with all staff and stakeholders.
  • Resilience and flexibility of adapting and using initiative in a variety of situations in a timely manner.
  • Ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
  • A can do approach to a variety of situations.
  • Is positive in their approach to their work and with all members of the school community.
  • Is patient, caring, understanding, positive and supportive.
