Our client is a nationally renowned water treatment company known for providing specialist water treatment and legionella services to clients throughout the UK. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Legionella Risk Assessor based in and around the Ipswich area. The ideal candidate will have experience carrying out legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines and demonstrate excellent water treatment industry knowledge. Consideration will be given to applications from Colchester, Braintree, Sudbury, Felixstowe and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications / Experience
  • Attended City and Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment course or equivalent WMS qualification.
  • Proven track record working as a legionella risk assessor within the water hygiene/water treatment industry.
  • Background in chemical, technical, educational and consultancy.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fully conversant with water treatment industry Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
Role Responsibilities
  • Conduct legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 across a varied site base.
  • Compile and create schematic drawings, and produce final documents/reports for clients.
  • Provide recommendations and pricing for remedial works, routine control measures and quotations; carry out such works based on risk assessments.
  • Write reports and attend meetings to discuss findings.
  • Participate in the company’s Legionella management systems.
  • Build and maintain rapport with clients/customers and staff.
  • Deal with problems appropriately and effectively.
  • Prioritise workload and ensure work is completed within timelines.
  • Travel to sites as per client requirements.
