Legal Secretary (Private Client)

We are working on behalf of a well-established Surrey-based law firm who are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their busy Private Client department. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a professional and supportive team where your secretarial and administrative skills will be highly valued.

The successful candidate will provide full secretarial support to three fee earners, assisting with their day-to-day work to ensure the smooth running of client transactions. A high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of accurate and timely documents and correspondence via audio dictation and digital transcription.
  • Maintenance of comprehensive and well-organised client files.
  • Liaison with clients and third parties both in person and over the telephone, always delivering exceptional client service.
  • Assistance with reception duties including meeting and greeting clients and arranging meeting room bookings.
  • Supporting the wider departmental work cycle to ensure efficiency and excellent client care.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within Private Client.
  • Strong and efficient secretarial and administrative skills with fast, accurate typing.
  • Excellent audio transcription skills.
  • IT literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and digital audio software.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A friendly, professional attitude with the ability to work well within a team.
  • Experience of using case management systems would be an advantage.
