Legal PA – Edinburgh – Salary up to £32,000 p/a DOE

Are you an experienced Legal PA, or PA looking to move into the Legal Sector? Do you want to join an established firm based in Edinburgh City Centre? Are you a proactive and well organised individual who enjoys assisting a busy team?

We are eager to speak to experienced Personal Assistants who are looking for a new challenge in Edinburgh. This is a great opportunity for individuals with Legal PA experience, or PA experience within a professional environment. Ideally, for this role you will be a confident communicator, have excellent time management skills and enjoy assisting a busy team of fee earners daily. You will be joining a successful and established firm and team, servicing a variety of high-value clients daily. This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking for a new opportunity with the Scottish Legal Sector!

This is a full-time, permanent role working core business hours, Monday – Friday. The salary for this role is up to £32,000 p/a DOE. Initially this role will be fully office-based and may revert to a hybrid working model.

Are you who we are looking for?

Responsibilities
  • Providing comprehensive support to a team of partners and fee earners daily
  • Managing diaries, ensuring all information is up to date and accurate
  • Booking meetings, arranging travel and ensuring all requirements are met (catering, room booking and technical support)
  • Preparing meeting packs and working papers, as well as minuting meetings and distributing action points when required
  • Monitoring inboxes, responding to emails when required
  • Handling inbound calls from clients, taking accurate notes and passing to the appropriate point of contact or handling all enquiries directly
  • Arranging travel requirements for the wider team
  • Completing all new client processes, opening files and completing any CMI or AML checks
  • Assisting fee earners with any ongoing business development and marketing activities
  • Liaising with the finance team, assisting with any cash room and billing tasks including producing fee letters, emails and aderant reporting
  • Handling all incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring all documentation is signed and sealed where required
  • Completing all administrative tasks daily
Qualifications
  • You have PA experience, within a professional or legal environment
  • You are a confident communicator both written and orally
  • You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages, digital dictation and legal software
  • You enjoy working individually and within a wider team environment, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • You have excellent time and diary management skills
  • You are a proactive individual, who can prioritise your own workload
  • You maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality when dealing with a variety of sensitive information
