Overview
Our client is looking for a Legal PA
Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated administrative support to private client solicitors, including diary management, scheduling meetings, and coordinating client appointments.
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, wills, trusts, probate applications, and other private client paperwork.
- Liaise effectively with clients, executors, beneficiaries, and third parties, ensuring clear and professional communication.
- Manage and maintain confidential client files and records, both physical and electronic.
- Assist with billing processes, time recording, and invoicing related to private client matters.
- Organize and prioritize incoming instructions and follow up on case progress and deadlines.
- Conduct basic legal research and gather relevant information to assist solicitors with case preparation.
- Coordinate with external agencies such as banks, trustees, and estate agents as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, legal procedures, and firm policies affecting private client work.
- Support the team with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks to improve efficiency.
Profile
- Previous experience working as a Legal PA or similar role.
- Strong understanding of private client legal matters, such as wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, and powers of attorney.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
