A leading UK university is seeking to appoint multiple lecturers in Cybersecurity Education. Responsibilities include teaching, innovative curriculum development, and promoting inclusivity within the Department of Informatics. Ideal candidates will hold a PhD and have relevant teaching experience at undergraduate or MSc levels. The Department of Informatics is launching a new hybrid (online/in‑person) programme, the MSc Advanced Cyber Security (SE Asia), as part of our global online degree offerings. To support the delivery of world‑renowned teaching in this programme and to contribute more broadly to the excellence in education within the Department, we are seeking to appoint two lecturing positions in Cybersecurity:

Our department addresses computer science challenges from a broad perspective. Faculty members regularly publish in and serve on the program committees of top‑tier venues in computer science and software engineering. High‑quality research establishes our faculty as leaders in their fields, enabling us to serve society while supporting King's College London as a leading institution in science and technology. The department also maintains strong industry links, collaborating on research projects with external partners.
The successful candidates will teach on our forthcoming transnational and hybrid Master’s programme in Advanced Cyber Security (SE Asia), starting in September 2026. While the postholders will be based in London, this hybrid programme requires the postholders to travel to Indonesia for extended periods to conduct in‑person induction, teaching, and other activities on a local campus.
We offer undergraduate and postgraduate education (in both computer science and artificial intelligence) catering for the needs of our students and the organisations in which they will work. It is essential that applicants have the enthusiasm and commitment needed to ensure the success of these programmes.
The successful candidates will be appointed to a research group and will have the opportunity to contribute to cross‑cutting hubs (see https://www.kcl.ac.uk/informatics/research/groups). Research collaboration across research groups, with departmental hubs and with other Departments in the Faculty and across the College is strongly encouraged.

This is a full‑time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed‑term contract of 3 years.
The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
1. PhD in computer science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence or related field.
2. Teaching and examining experience of computer science topics at MSc and/or Undergraduate level (including experience designing a module, developing teaching material and designing assessments).
3. Ability to develop and deliver high and innovative teaching, including flipped classroom and online methods.
4. Ability to make a significant contribution to administrative work.
5. Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) with a range of audiences, including students, academic and professional services colleagues, and cultural and industry partners.
6. Ability to work and travel overseas (Indonesia) and secure the relevant visas (for 3 trips of 2 weeks).
1. PhD in computer science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence or related field.
2. Excellent Teaching and examining experience of computer science topics at MSc and/or Undergraduate level (including experience designing a module, developing teaching material and designing assessments).
3. Ability to develop and deliver high and innovative teaching, including flipped classroom and online methods.
4. Record of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules in core areas of computer science.
5. Evidence to make a significant contribution to administrative work.
6. Ability to work and travel overseas (Indonesia) and secure the relevant visas (for 3 trips of 2 weeks).
1. Industrial experience in computer science, or research experience in computer science education.
2. Experience of innovative and effective approaches to teaching.
3. Experience of creative approaches to assessment.
4. Administrative experience.
5. Publications in Education‑related conferences and journals.
6. Module design and development.
1. Programme design, development and management.
2. Experience of innovative and effective approaches to teaching, including distance learning.
3. International standing in the field.
4. Leadership of programmes and governance committees including accreditation.
