Mathematics Lecturer (GCSE and Skills)

Salary: £26,192 - £40,486

30 hours per week

We are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher with passion, enthusiasm and commitment to ensure the very highest standards are achieved in the delivery of GCSE Mathematics, Essential Skills Application of Number and Agored qualifications to post 16 learners on full time programmes for September '25.

If you are looking for a career challenge, these opportunities promises to be both re-warding and fulfilling. You will teach and support a diverse range of young people and adults to enable them to fulfil the next stage of their career or educational aspirations.

You will hold an honours degree in Mathematics (or a related subject), an A level in Mathematics grade (A-C) and a PGCE/Cert. Ed

You will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise and co-ordinate a challenging workload. You will be motivated and someone who can quickly develop a good rapport with learners and colleagues.

You will work closely with the Leader of Learning - Mathematics to prepare learners for assessment and will engage with curriculum area staff to inform them of their learner progress.

As part of the recruitment process, candidates will undertake a 45 minute micro-teach, an assessment and formal interview.

The ability to use the Welsh language at a basic level (or willingness to undertake training) is desirable
