Job description

Electrical Installations Lecturer come off the tools and teach your trade!

Location: Northampton

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Benefits: Teacher's Pension at 28.68% and 44 days holiday paid annually

We are looking for an experienced and fully qualified electrician who is passionate about passing on their well-honed skills to the next generation of electricians.

Role Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Electrical curriculum to full time and part time students learning up to level 3
  • Act as the course tutor, taking responsibility for organisation, administration and monitoring of attendance and progress.
  • Participate in curriculum development to ensure alignment with evolving industrial demand and college strategic development.
  • Engage and enthuse learners, bringing your real life industry experience into the classroom to support their practical and technical progress.
What do you need?
  • Fully qualified electrician with considerable experience in industry
  • Qualified to at least Level 3 Electrical Installation and capable of teaching 18th Edition wiring regulations.
  • If not already a qualified teacher, happy to work towards a qualification with support from and fully funded by the college
  • Happy to undergo an enhanced DBS check including the child barred list
