Lecturer, BA (Hons) Animation (Part time – 4 days per week)

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and creative lecturer for a position on our award‑winning BA (Hons) Animation programme within the Higher Education department at the University Centre South Essex.

Responsibilities include supporting the delivery of a broad curriculum across levels 4, 5 and 6, developing and assessing student work, and maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of industry practices and technologies.

Prerequisites: experience in the animation industry with an emphasis on 2D animation (analogue and digital) and knowledge of 3D animation desirable. A First Class or High Grade degree in Animation or a related subject is required; a Master’s degree is desirable. Excellent knowledge of animation techniques, concept design, and passion for teaching are essential. Specialist knowledge of industry software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Toon Boom Harmony (2D) and Maya (3D) is required. A PGCE and teaching experience are desirable but not essential.
