Job summary

A leading technology firm in Southampton is seeking a Deputy Financial Accountant to manage and streamline financial accounting processes while ensuring robust financial controls. The ideal candidate should be AAT qualified or part qualified with a CCAB and possess strong communication and Excel skills. Responsibilities include managing lease accounting and maintaining existing models, all while working in a proactive environment supporting financial objectives.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or active studier, and/or qualified/part qualified CCAB professional qualification.
• Experience of balance sheet accounting.
• Demonstrable experience of communicating technical accounting principles to a non-finance audience.
• Ability to complete reconciliations involving manipulation of large volumes of data and associated problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Run the monthly lease accounting process including manual monthly journals.
• Maintain and develop existing lease models.
• Review transactions quarterly to identify potential new leases.
• Liaise with Finance Business Partners on lease accounting requirements.
