Learning Support Worker (Part Time, Term Time only)

Location: Riverside College and Cronton Sixth Form College, Widnes, Cheshire

Salary: £29,082 - £30,738 per year (pro rata for part‑time contract). Salary for contract options:

  • 18 hour contract – £11,830 – £12,503 per year
  • 25 hour contract – £16,430 – £17,366 per year
  • 30 hour contract – £19,716 – £20,839 per year

Contract: Permanent, Part Time, Term Time (18‑30 hours per week)

Recruiter: Riverside College and Cronton Sixth Form College

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside Curriculum Teachers, Specialist Teachers and other Learning Support Workers to gather detailed information from learners.
  • Develop collaborative working and support relationships to assist learner progression and achievement.
  • Provide person‑centred support mainly in class or on work placements.
  • Guide and advise cross‑college teachers on implementing Inclusive Teaching Plans.
  • Deliver small‑group support sessions where required.
  • Support students with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to evidence their progress and achievement of EHCP outcomes.
  • Subject to enhanced DBS Disclosure and online checks.
