An educational support service in Gloucester is seeking a Learning Support Mentor to assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school environment. The role involves providing 1:1 support, helping pupils stay focused, and building relationships with students and staff. Candidates must demonstrate empathy and patience, have the right to work in the UK, and be willing to undergo DBS checks. This full-time position operates term-time only, Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 15:30, and includes training and support.
Five Education is looking to recruit a Learning Support Mentor in Cheltenham. As a support mentor, you will have the opportunity to work closely with identified children and young people, encouraging them to learn and challenge themselves. The children have a diagnosis of Special Education Needs (SEN) such as Autism or ADHD and/or mental health challenges. They will need extra help at school in the lessons and at break and lunchtimes. The role will also require personal care, including toileting.
Experience is not necessary, but a can‑do attitude, resilience and proactiveness are essential. You will need to be available 8:30‑15:30. This work is term time and full time only. Please do not apply if you cannot work Monday to Friday.

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.
