Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (Year 5 - Cerebral Palsy)

Location: Littlehampton, West Sussex  |  Contract Type: #removed#/Monday-Friday/Term time only  |  Salary: £80 - £89 a day  |  Start Date: ASAP

Masterclass Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with cerebral palsy. This is a rewarding role for someone who is committed to making learning inclusive, enjoyable, and accessible.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised support to a pupil with cerebral palsy, adapting tasks and resources where needed.
  • Assist with mobility and personal care in a respectful and supportive manner.
  • Encourage independence and inclusion in classroom and school activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to meet learning and care needs.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and recording of progress towards EHCP targets.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Caring, patient, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
  • Experienced in working with children with physical disabilities and/or SEND (desirable, but training will be provided).
  • Able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • Flexible, reliable, and a strong team player.
  • Knowledgeable of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
