This is an excellent opportunity to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, working closely with teaching staff and the SEND team to help pupils reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.

About the role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students both in and out of the classroom. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing targeted support to students with additional needs, including SEN, EAL or those requiring academic intervention
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence
  • Assisting class teachers with lesson delivery, differentiation and classroom management
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and independence in learning
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, the SEND department and pastoral teams
  • Supporting students social, emotional and academic development in line with school expectations
